I’ve had a ball today participating in Dawn McVey’s Colour Challenge here using the colours of Soft Yellow, Light Aqua, Chocolate and Cream:
Here is my take using Barely Banana, Baja Breeze, Chocolate Chip and Vanilla (all Stampin’ Up!)
I’ve used the butterfly from the Garden Whimsy stamp set, and stamped one at a time with versamark then applied stampin’ pastels with my sponge daubers. It’s important to start with the lightest colour first and work your way to the darkest.
Stampin’ pastels are so useful as you have every colour in the palette at your fingertips. The card used is a combination of Chocolate Chip, Vanilla, and the retired Parisian Breeze Specialty DSP from the past Spring Mini (now unavailable but I LOVE IT). It worked perfectly here, but Baja Breeze and Chocolate Chip DSP would have worked just as well…
My sentiment is from the Simply Said Stamp Set.
A very new colour palette for me and one I will definitley use again!
Make sure you check out all the other designers particpating in this challenge – there sure is some talent out there!
Cheers!
Very pretty. The butterflies seem to be flitting through the air. Great job.
