I couldnt resist playing along with the challenge over at Just Add Ink this week for Challenge #8:
JUST ADD EASTER
I’ve made these adorable little Happy Easter Pillow Boxes for my Son Laurenz to give his school friends:
You are getting a wee sneak peek at an upcoming product in the Autumn Winter SU Mini… (Keep checking in for more sneak peeks leading up to the catalogue release on the 1st of April!
I’ve made little embossed pillow boxes from Baja Breeze Card, tied my gorgeous Striped Grosgrain Ribbon in the same colour around the box, and punched first a Certainly Celery Egg, and then a Whisper White Egg using my Wide Oval Punch. I’ve used the stampset A Good Egg to decorate my eggs, with a combination of pattern stamps from the set, and watercolouring with my Aqua Painter (Summer Sun, Certainly Celery, Baja Breeze and Creamy Caramel).
I’ve then added the Happy Easter Sentiment in Baja Breeze, embossed and punched with the Word Window Punch – Cute Eh? Ive tried to keep the colour palette Unisex so that Laurenz can give these to his little friends without worrying about girl or boy colours…
Now I just have to shop for little Freddo Frog type – Easter Bunnies to pop inside!

What great little gifts! Love the idea of embossing the card before cutting it out.
Oh, these look so sweet! I must remember to try embossing the cardstock before cutting with the die (I’m hoping my preorder arrives really soon!). I love the colours you’ve put together. Gorgeous!
Hey Danielle, I embossed after cutting the template and made sure I didnt emboss the strip for the adhesive so that the pillow box would seal nice and smoothly – hope your goodies come soon!
Isn’t it great you don’t have to cut each template out by hand? What cute little gifts.
