Over at Just Add Ink this week we have a great challenge for you:
I have been saving this project to share with you for just this challenge! A few weeks ago our neighbour Ellie turned 7 – and Ellie loves stamping and craft, so I created this tote for her and filled it with a stamp set and a few stampin’ write markers to play with!
I was sure to strengthen the tote with Brads on all the joins and even on my sweet treat flower so that it will last for a while! Now I must confess this DSP is retired (so sad – it’s so cute!) but of course this would work with any of our DSP’s in the current catalogue and in actual fact the standard weight DSP is a little easier to work with when making this tote! I am going to share the link ->here<- where I originally saw this Tote – and as you will see Andrea Walford’s tutorial is excellent – so easy to follow!
I filled my sweet treat cup with a scallop flower and a sprinkling of dazzling diamonds to glitz it up a wee bit. I’ve tied the matching birthday card to the side of the tote through a small heart punched out of the corner of the card.
Ellie’s name has been created using my Junior Timeless Alphabet Dies and my bigshot. I don’t think a week goes by without using these alphas or the numbers and shapes that come with them!
I was so thrilled that she loved this Tote and gift inside! Made the few hours it took to make ALL WORTH IT!
No head on over to JAI and check out the other Birthday gift and card ideas offered up for your DT inspiration this week!
So pretty Jan, you are always full of ideas and inspiration with all your little surprise elements. Lucky Ellie!
Jan, your bag is so adorable!
I had never thought of putting something like a flower in the sweet cups – ingenious!
Thanks so much for sharing your talents.
Kathy
I love the flower in the sweet treat cup – what a clever idea!
