There is nothing like a long weekend to fit some extra time in with the family. Marius and I took the boys camping to Ledge Point for the weekend and I thought I’d share this pic of my boys at the lookout at Ledge Point:

Ledge Point is so close to Ellenbrook (less than 1.5 hrs) so we were home by 11:30, returning to a little brown box with more Stampin Up! goodies which of course I couldn’t resist having a play with this afternoon. Firstly I used the FREE sale-a-bration So Happy For You set to create a couple of boy birthday cards for Laurenz’s friends this week. My idea for these came largely from a card featured on www.sarahklass.com this week:

I’ve gone a little silly with my new Spiral Border Punch from Stampin Up! – I am sure you will see it featured quite a bit over the next few weeks!
I have been quite taken with one of the sample cards in the SU sale-a-bration and created this card which is based loosely on that design:
The FREE sale-a-bration stampset Bliss is responsible for this creation – I started with Sahara Sand textured card for the base, and used highlights of Marina Mist and So Saffron with Confetti Cream. I’ve stamped the large background image using Crumb Cake Ink, and added a soft suede bird and Marina Mist Butterfly. My Boho Blossoms are punched from Newsprint DSP – and pearls accent the middle of each. I’ve colour spritzed over everything with my soft suede marker and colour spritzer tool – LOVE IT! I’ve finally tied hemp twine into a bow to finish it all off. Oh and there is my new Spiral Border Punch again!
