I’m back this morning with a card that I have created for team of people I will be joining for an exciting new project next month…The leader of the team is Male but the other people are female so I was trying to strike a balance between both genders! Also, they are a creative team so I think they will appreciate the thoughts on the front rather than a sentiment…
The DSP I’ve used is from Well Worn and the colour scheme is River Rock, Early Espresso, Soft Suede and Very Vanilla – scrumptous! I’ve used the framelits dies and the Apothecary Art Stamp set for the front, and the words (placed with my stampa-ma-jig) are from the Loving Thoughts stamp set (the last three products are from the new Autumn Winter Mini). My little flourish on the bottom right are from the Scribbles die. I always mount my cardstock to a little piece of multi adhesive sheet and then run it through the Bigshot so that my flourish is self adhesive, neat and tidy.
The corners are rounded, and I have recently re-discovered shimmer mist, so I have misted generously over the entire card once finished 🙂 I’ve used the Square Lattice Embossing Folder on the larger framelit after stamping it. My stamp on the envelope is from the retired SAB set Bliss from last year.
The edges are all sponged with soft suede ink, and the buttons are threaded with Linen Thread.
I stayed up way too late making this card last night (after watching American Idol of course!!) but it was really enjoyable 🙂
