The Challenges of Designing a Male Birthday Card!

Hi Girls,

Sometimes it can be a real challenge designing a birthday card for that Man (or Boy) in our lives – nothing too young, too old, too girly and the list goes on and on!  I really like the retro feel of this card – I think it is totally ageless with it’s cool colour scheme and vintage car image.  The stamp set I’ve used is retired but the DSP is a combo of Newsprint (which I love!!!) and the very new Print Poetry DSP pad available in the Seasonal Catty.  The Birthday sentiment is from On Your Birthday

I am just loving banners at the moment – and to create these flag shapes I adhered my two layers together measured and cut a slit at the centre and then starting from each corner, cut up to meet the slit – this is a sure fire way to make sure your flag ends are perfectly even.  Can you see my diagonal scoring designs? These are care of the brand new Scoring Plate also in the Seasonal Catty – I thought this added a fund detail.  And who said ribbon couldn’t make an appearance on a Male Card? I think this one can with its white stitched geometric design feel.

And it wouldn’t be one of my cards without a little spritz of shimmer spray!

Thanks for stopping by, hope this project has given you some inspiration for designing the perfect card for the Male in your life!
