A while ago I posted this card and said it was a layout I would definitely use again…Well I did and here it is:
I chose a square card this time, and my trim and embellishments are slightly different but it was just as quickly put together and IMHO, just as successful 🙂
I have recently started converting my large wood mount background stamps (this one is En Francais) to clear mount with mounting foam. I found using the background stamp as clear mount on an acrylic block just makes it much easier for stamp placement. Particularly in this case where the stamp is smaller than the card stock piece – I was able to get it fairly central without using my stamp-a-ma-jig.
Can you see the hint of DSP inside the card? I just added a Very Vanilla Mat with a 2 cm piece of DSP on the right hand side – It just finished it off nicely.
Here is another variation on the layout, with Comfort Cafe DSP as my colour inspiration:
Cajun Craze, Early Espresso and Very Vanilla make up this very striking colour combination. My sentiment is from the Loving Thoughts stamp set.
I love how this ribbon bow contrasts to the wood grain look button. The button is from my stash (probably almost 20 years old! – that counts as vintage right?) The Flower stamp is from Apothecary Art Stamp Set and is embossed in Early Espresso.
As always it’s a pleasure to have you visit my blog…
