Dasher (Stampin' Up!)

Shimmery Dasher in Coastal Cabana

Something soft and pretty for your Christmas Crafting today…My card base is Coastal Cabana, with a Silver Metallic Mat, and for my angular piece, I’ve taken one of the designs from the Winter Frost DSP 12 x 12 Pack, and after cutting it to a  full sized mat, I’ve slid it into my trimmer on an angle, lining both points up to the 4cm mark and slicing the corner off, then turning around 180 degrees and repeating the slice on the opposite corner.  I am really happy with the effect.  I then chose strips in a contrasting design and edged them using my scallop border punch.  A little tombow glue held them into place.

This silver scallop is made by die cutting two of the half scallops from the Petal Cone Die and glueing them down next to each other – I love the small scalloped edge.

Now this Dasher stamp is retired unfortunately because it is an absolute winner for Christmas cards 🙂  I have mixed Frost white shimmer paint with Coastal Cabana re-inker  and applied it to my stamp with a sponge dauber before carefully pressing on to Whisper White card stock.  Once it had dried, I die cut using one of the circle framelits and added a little silver dazzling details to the antlers.
