Christmas, En Francais (Stampin' Up!), Festive Flurries (Stampin' Up!), Handmade Cards

Embellish your Christmas

With my project today I set out to create a specialty Christmas card – with lovely layers of embellishments to highlight some of my favourite products from the Current Seasonal Catalogue: the Festive Flurry Stamp Set and Framelits, and the gorgeous Frosted Finishes embellishments.

I started with a card base of Bermuda Bay, and then added a mat of silver metallic cardstock after embossing it in Silver using the En Francais background stamp. The Winter Frost DSP shape is created by die cutting the largest size of the Window Framelits and then cutting off two sides.

My largest Festive Flurry is embossed in Smokey Slate Embossing Powder on Bermuda Bay. The smaller Flurry is cut from Metallic Silver card, using two smaller framelits layered inside one another to create the negative image in the middle.

I punched a small snowflake in silver foil and added the Frosted Finishes embellishment in the middle. Another favourite new item from the Seasonal Catty is the Expressions thinlet with it’s Merry die cut – I added a rhinestone just to finish it off.

I just love all the dimension on this card. Hope it’s given you some inspiration for your Christmas craft.
