Christmas, Handmade Cards

Trimming the Town

With just over a week until the August-December Mini Catalogue (our Holiday Catalogue) is released, I’ve been sharing a series of cards over on Instagram, featuring the gorgeous Trimming the Town Designer Series Paper and a whole lot of fussy cutting! Today’s card focuses on the pretty little church from the DSP.

After fussy cutting the church and wreath from the DSP, I added the snow flakes DSP panel first to a Whisper White card stock panel and then onto a Misty Moonlight card base and tucked the fussy cut church behind a snow bank created with a sloped die from the In the Woods Dies and dazzling diamonds glimmer paper.

I used the In the Woods Dies with vellum card stock for the wintery trees, and the small hearts are cut from the Owl Builder Punch, but you could use any small heart in your stash.

One of my favourite things about this Designer Series Paper is the sheet of sentiments in a variety of languages. I used my trimmer to cut the strips down and thought “Peace, Love & Joy” suited this little church perfectly.

The Garden Gateway Dies created the perfect church yard arbor and gates, and I’ve cut these from Whisper White Thick card stock.
