Blending Brushes and Masking with BERRY DELIGHT

With the Sale-A-Bration promotion in its final days, coming to a close on Feb 28 I’m sharing a series of card videos over on my YouTube channel exploring the new Blending Brushes (available in the Mini Catalogue) along with the Decorative Masks (Annual Catalogue), and of course my favourite FREE items from the promo – the Berry Blessings Stampset and Berry Delightful DSP that you can earn with a qualifying order of $180 AUD…

The first card in the series features a partial ink blended background combined with dry embossing using the Subtle 3D embossing folder. My card base is Pear Pizazz with pops of Rich Razzleberry and Blackberry Bliss. Click on the video below to head over to YouTube and watch this card tutorial. I’d love you to hit SUBSCRIBE and the notification šŸ”” while you are there…

For my second card, I created an inked background with the blending brushes, and then masked over the top with Embossing Paste. I love the way the white paste is still a little see through and shows the colour underneath – it’s really subtle. And all that texture! And of course a little hint of the brightly coloured DSP (patterned paper) goes a long way…

I wanted to create an ombre effect for the background on card number 3, and started with Blushing Bride ink, adding Rich Razzleberry and then back to the lighter ink again. The variation in colour is a result of a lighter and heavier hand when blending – love it!
