Hi there stampers!
This is such a fun technique taught to me by my stampin’ buddy Michelle over at http://www.ministamper.com see her blog post here – transferring stamped images on to candles. As you can imagine the possibilities are endless! I whipped this project up this morning:
I purchased a bunch of these candles at IKEA this week for the bargain price of $1.50 – for an 18cm pillar candle! Maybe olive isn’t your thing but I couldn’t resist the bargain (Scottish blood after all :). I inked up my Medallion stamp with Soft Suede and Early Espresso. The twine is from good ole’ woolies but I would have preferred to use the SU Hemp Twine if I had enough left! Gotta put that on my next order because you just can’t beat it for an earthy natural look.
I created my little frame by tying on a piece of my hodgepodge hardware, and stamped one of the cute by the inch squares from the Hostess Set. I glued this to my hardware using tombow and then trimmed the excess off. If you are interested in learning how to use this technique to create unique gifts for family and friends, why not book a workshop with you and a few friends and I can design a class to suit? And if you hold a workshop during sale-a-bration you can earn FREE STAMPSETS simply by purchasing $100 off SU product.
Well, thanks for stopping by and hope you enjoyed the project I’ve shared today.
LOVEEEEE IT Jan, and your new look website 🙂
